Nice and sketchy. I like the loose style. I think it takes up more space than it needs to though. A different layout would help with the spacing. Might not be bold enough to make an impact.

Definitely, one of the those that catch the eye. Not sure what it says about the company.

Ok, it’s time to sell my entry! (1) The umbilical cord between the g and A is a playful way of showing that the online blog community and advertising companies are linked together by BlogAds. (2) Although linked together, the words are seperated enough to avoid the whole “blowgads” confusion. (3) This is the only entry on the short list that really looks hand-drawn and still is legible no matter the size. It’s loose and fun and not overtly designed and fulfills all the requirements with a fresh new look. (4) Some things that easily can be changed are the spacey or lankiness of the logo. The tagline and .com part could be taken out altogether. (5) This loose style could be incorporated throughout the website as well as help make stationary and business cards stand out. The logo doesn’t look like anything from the movie napoleon dynamite, but was an attempt to capture the loose adolescent spirit from said movie. (6) Most important of all I think it would look damned good on a mug!

Bear in mind that I happen to like this logo better than most of the entries... I also happen to disagree about the legibility at any size statement. (Especially with the "for opinion makers" but even with the rest of the logo. It has a lot of fine detail in it that looks pretty neat when it's at this scale but is completely lost (and even aids in the overall blurring of the logo) at smaller sizes. I also still advise against choosing a logo with ".com" in the name.

Another issue I just noticed is that there is a lot of "white space" below the word "blog" and above "ads.com" that is essentially unusable. This logo takes up a lot of space.

Well, as previously stated this can be easily tightened up and the tagline/.com part can be dropped. I've scaled this logo down to 1/4 the size and it's still readily legible. I see the white space as more of a plus than a minus, the fact that it’s not contained within a square makes it stand out more. We are after all breaking with convention correct? Also, I think my two entries are suffering from being displayed below Brain's "aggressive fist" ;)
