Logo name: 2005
Creator: Carm Hodzic
Explanation: i kept the same font layout as the original logo, with the raised o a and s. the symbol could be the 3 dots under those raised letters (dot dot dot...). it works well on a black background, white background, and in monochrome. i know how hard it is for a company to let go of their original image. hopefully, this logo will help you keep a part of the old image as you move forward.

I think this is one of the best i've seen out of all the rest

Nice... this logo would look good on a t-shirt.

Nice.

Pleasant enough. Graphically strong/catchy. Optimistic qualities. A little bland on concept, (only if that matters.)

This is my favorite by far. It conveys the two word name on the first glance, shrinks down well, and it would look good on merchandise or on my blog.

This logo is well thought out and executed and is closer to the original logo than any other entry. Although the color separates the two words, the larger "g" still makes me read blo-gads. Good effort but not very memorable in my book, also the fake chiseled "Flintstones" look really bugs me. Another example of failing to look hand-drawn. Having said that, I would not get an aneurism if this was chosen.

I like this one the best, too, and I'm a total type snob. It's strong, it's clear, it's bold...don't like the other smaller color combos so much, but the big one is quite nice.

Congrats to the 9 finalists! As one of the shortlist I'm going to pick my favorite now that I have been eliminated. I love this design. It's by far the easiest to read out of all of the designs and it uses just the right amount of design space for the website. This design is also a professional version of the original logo which is not a bad thing. I don't think the old design would have been used if it had not been liked at one time. The dual colors are perfect and the tiny logo options at the bottom show it's versatilty. Good luck all!

Thanks for the comments guys (and gals?) Good luck to my fellow shortlisters, and also to Henry and everyone else at BlogAds in choosing their new logo.

I don't know how this would look, but I'm toying with the idea that the black box might look better ABOVE the o in Blog. Something to try maybe.

I am trying to come up with a great logo. This is certainly the one to beat. I may be a bit conventional because I think that the font could be less ragged so as to be a bit more "clean". 'Cause who wants a ragged ad?!
(Bud Wood at 2005/09/25 23:16:26.985 GMT-5)

Bud, I agree with you on the ruggedness of the font. If it were my choice, I too would've selected a more clean and professional font, but they requested something more hand-drawn than corporate. I'm hoping this is what they had in mind.

this is my favorite. strong look, but not corporate. incorporates tagline nicely. looks cool as a small button. i like the rough edge, but the font seems playful enough to work cleaner also.

The best--very recognizable and memorable. Looks great large and small.
