I don't think it's so ugly.
It's the first one in this list that grabbed me.
Ty,
There is something about this logo design that conveys raw power and a disregard for convention.
Tangerine Garage is my second favorite because it has some of the same feel, but "So Ugly" feels a bit edgier and I think it captures the BlogAds spirit, at least for me.
Disclaimer: I am no designer, only an advertiser who uses BlogAds. This logo typifies what I am looking for in an advertising system for blogs.
The letter spacing is perfect. It’s tight and still clear and legible. The shifting of Ads just a tad lower than Blog is nice as well. The issue I have with this one is the same I have with the 3 other “Flintstones” looking entries on the shortlist. Its way too obvious it was made by tweaking points in Illustrator or Freehand. It makes an impact and I understand why it was chosen for the shortlist, but where some see raw power and a disregard for convention, I see the opposite. |
