Logo name: Connecting the blogosphere with advertisers
Creator: Ken Lonseth
Explanation: When looking at the final 9 submissions ask yourselves this: which ones are unique, which ones meet the submission guidelines, and which ones have the most staying power? Sure there are some in the final batch that look “clean” but those are not the ones people will remember. Of the final 9 how many can you describe in 4 words or less? More often than not, the logos that look appealing initially are also the least memorable. If you’re going to stand out from the rest of the corporate web, then pick a logo that stands out from the rest. My submission stands out, no question about it. In my final revision I dropped the tagline and .com parts, tightened up the spacing a little as well as brightened up the orange. The logo should be scaled down about half size in order to fit in the current BlogAds site layout. Any revisions or further applications across any media of this logo can be easily done in the future if need be. Thanks for the contest, it’s been fun.

Logo name: Botox
Creator: Carm Hodzic
Explanation: My logo concept was obviously influenced by your original logo, which will help your company keep a sense of familiarity with your current bloggers and clients. In essence, your image is not facing a complete overhaul, but rather a shot of Botox to give it a newer and fresher look while maintaining your current image. Being that you deal with non-intrusive advertisements, i think it's vital that your logo has the flexibility of being both legible and bold at smaller sizes. Some concepts might "look cool" at larger sizes, but picture what they would look like on a standard 88x31 button, or inside a banner only 60 pixels in height. I feel my banner's dimensions and structure gives you unlimited flexibility while preserving the impact of the message as well as the legibility of the font. It will look fine inside a standard 88x31 promotional button (http://www.graphicnet.com/blogads/88x31.gif) as well as stationary (http://www.graphicnet.com/blogads/stat.jpg). Again, thanks for the opportunity to show off my work.

Logo name: Blog Ad
Creator: Allen Reed
Explanation: The set of rectangles are supposed to represent the common blog layout, with one block in the "sidebar" in the Blog Ads orange color. It shares the same color as the word "Ads" to show that the block is an ad in the usual form that Blog Ads offers. Both words are capitalized and in different colors to ensure that it isn't mispronounced as one word anymore. The playful font hints that Blog Ads is by and for regular blog owners. The block part of the logo would make a nice favicon.

Logo name: Manifesto
Creator: Thor Ivar Ekle
Explanation: A tribute to the fine art of letterpress printing, where inked metal type is physically pressed into the paper, this design employs slightly uneven letter shapes and positioning to break out of the digital rigidity. The letter sizes have modified slightly to aid readability. Bigger versions here: http://www.slantedspoon/manifesto http://www.slantedspoon/manifesto

Logo name: 2005
Creator: Carm Hodzic
Explanation: i kept the same font layout as the original logo, with the raised o a and s. the symbol could be the 3 dots under those raised letters (dot dot dot...). it works well on a black background, white background, and in monochrome. i know how hard it is for a company to let go of their original image. hopefully, this logo will help you keep a part of the old image as you move forward.

Creator: Greg Stobb
Explanation: Henry- I think you guys should keep it simple! Blogs are information, entertainment, a new revolution- but still appeal to the nature of print. Advertising is morphing and changing, that's the modern aspect. Take a look, it's a quick draft, but I think reflects both your mission and who you are in touch with. Good luck! Greg Stobb
